In the period from 5th to 31st May 2025, SORS associates will conduct mapping and listing of households on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. In the selected enumeration areas, all facilities and all households living in that territory will be recorded. Special attention will be paid to households that have at least one child under the age of five.

The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January - April 2025 amounted to:

   - USD 26525.1 million - which was an increase of 9.0% compared to the same period last year;

   - EUR 24845.0 million - which was an increase of 10.6% compared to the same period last year.

In the Republic of Serbia, in April 2025, compared to April 2024, number of tourist arrivals was by 8.5 % lower, while number of tourist overnight stays was by 10.8 % lower.

In April 2025, compared to April 2024, number of overnight stays of domestic tourists was by 20.4 % lower while number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was by 0.4% greater.

Volume of works, related to felling timber in the Republic of Serbia in 2024, compared to the previous year, decreased by 8%, in Beogradski region, it increased by 13%, in region Vojvodine, it increased by 6%, in Region Šumadije i Zapadne Srbije, the decrease of 8% was noted, and in Region Južne i Istočne Srbije, the volume of works decreased by 18%. Total felled timber volume in 2024 was about 3.1 million m3. The greatest part of it, about 1.6 million m3 (51%) was used as fuel wood. Gross felled timber volume in and outside state forests was about 2.6 million m3, while it amounted to about 430 000 m3 in and outside private forests.

The industrial production in April 2025 increased by 2.3% relative to April 2024.

According to the preliminary results, the turnover of retail trade in the Republic of Serbia in April 2025, compared to the same month last year, increased by 2.8% at current prices and at constant prices, by 0.4%.

Comparing the retail trade turnover in the first four months 2025 with the same period 2024, it increased by 4.1% at current prices, and by 0.8% at constant prices.

According to the Labor Force Survey, in the first quarter of 2025, the number of employed persons was 2.887.100, the number of unemployed persons was 289.400, while the number of people outside the labor force was 2.438.100.

Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the number of employed persons increased by 15 400, while the number of unemployed persons decreased by 9 700, as well as the number of people outside the labor force, by 37 600. The employment rate increased by 0.5 percentage points (p.p.) and amounted to 51.4%, while the unemployment rate decreased by 0.3 p.p. and amounted to 9.1%. The out the labor force rate was 43.4 %, reflecting a decrease of 0.4 p.p.

Compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, there was a decrease in the number of employed persons by 7 800, a decrease in the population outside the labor force by 24 100, and an increase in the number of unemployed by 16 300. The unemployment rate increased by 0.5 p.p., the out the labor force rate decreased by 0.3 p.p., while the employment rate remained unchanged.

In 2024, for the purpose of drinking water supply, quantity of abstracted water amounted to 709 million m³, which represents by 3.3% more water compared to the same period of 2023. Total quantity of urban wastewater in 2024 increased by 3.5%, relative to 2023, of which the amount of wastewater discharged into wastewater collecting system increased by 10.5%.
